This is a 20' foot boat. My thoughts are Santa's Vacation or Pirates of the Caribbean Christmas. A friend suggested "Redneck Yacht Club" Christmas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Use a Redneck/ice fishing theme. Outhouses for fish huts. Shotguns with line for fishing poles & beer cans strung together horizontally as a measuring tape. Then let your imagination run wild. They're Rednecks for heaven sakes!!!!!!!!!!

every summer i go to my cousins and fish with him and now hes got his fancy pontoon boat and im stuck on shore my cousin wont let me take my row boat out so im wondering hes agreed with this idea but can we take like either 2 55 gallon metal or plastic drums and attach them together and then make a ply wood deck on top so he can tow me behind his pontoon.
is this possible?
its because i have an older aluminum row boat and he says its not water worthy even though it handled montana lakes with montana winds, and yea i was thinking that id need to make a cone kind of shape for the front of the barrel
It's possible. Making it work right is the biggest thing. Chase is right about the fifty-five-gallon drums. They're going to want to dive. Is your cousin's pontoon boat an actual pontoon like a Sun Tracker or something? If it is, look at how the pontoons on it are set up. Don't forget skegs and a sail. You're gonna have a lot of welding to do.

The weight is the same as the weight of the volume of water displaced. It increases as the pipe is pulled further down by more weight, as the volume increases. It depends on how much of the pipe is submerged.
The water weighs about one Kg per liter. Depends on salt or fresh, temperature etc.
Lets say the 6 inch pipe is 150mm external diameter, so the radius is 75mm or 7.5cm..
Lets say the plastic is the same density as water (actually it floats, so it weighs slightly less than water).
The maximum external volume of the pipe per meter length...
First in cubic centimeters (cm^3)
Volume_cm^3 = Pi x r^2 x length = 3.1416 x 7.5cm x 7.5cm x 100cm = 17,671cc.
That is 17.61 liters, so the weight of water displaced is about 17Kg when the pipe is fully submerged.
In practice it will not be fully submerged, say half.
The above makes assumptions to simplify the calculation as follows:
The density of plastic is assumed the same as water, but it is more or less.
The diameter was taken as 150mm. It could be slightly more.
These means slightly more or less weight can be supported.
The answer is something like 8Kg per meter of pipe length. If you want Kg in pounds, multiply by 2.2.
To support one man weighing 80Kg and a frame weighing 10Kg, and a bit of reserve of 10Kg, we can say 100Kg is supported by 12.5m of empty 150mm pipe about half submerged. This can be made up of 2 pontoon sections. Having greater length means more stability as you move around, and more stable in direction of travel, as well as having more buoyancy.
Don't forget the 50 horse outboard!

Santa brought the Richardson Tribe canoes this year, so we decided a Southbound trip was in order. The goal was to seek warmer weather, but a sudden cold front moved in and threatened to dampen our spirits. Sorry Mother Nature, it takes a lot more than snow and frigid weather to deter the Richardson Tribe. We came prepared to make the most of the Ocala National Forest, and we feel like we succeeded.
