This is a pedal pontoon boat that is large enough to fit a family, but yet easy enough for small children to pedal.

I'm looking for a pontoon book that looks like this: http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I /hitches4less_2007_20901515, but I do not know if such a boat can come with a trolling motor, motor. I am a female and I wanna get a little boat like this that i can blow up in my car and take out on a lake. But I don't know if I can attach a motor to it. That would be nice incase I get tired of paddling. Thanks!

Most of the guys who use these in Montana for float trips keep them on trailers, and don't blow them up and deflate after each trip. Something you might want to consider.

Also, they are very easy to paddle, and great fun on the water. There has to be a mounting bracket for an electric trolling motor, the boat maker may even have one. Additionally, don't forget a spot for the battery.

I work on a lake for a summer job as a Dock-Master, and wonder what my wages should be since I do so much work. To start off the lake is about 5 miles long, but is along the seneca river in NY. It's not a huge marina it has about 75 slips, has a launch as well as a gas pump dock. So here it goes, I launch boats, rent row boats, motor boats, 1 small pontoon boat, paddle boats, and canoes. I sell worms, I pump propane, rent seasonal slips as well as transient slips. I pump gas, I take all questions, I'm basically a one man army. I train people that are new to boating, I give tips on how to put the boat on the trailer. I put in boats anddd help pull them out. I even bring jumper cables with me and have helped to jump a good amount of boats. I've avoided many possible mishaps like boats that would have put their boat in without a plug, never put the trim up, etc. Im very helpful, people have told me they come to my marina bc they know they will be helped out, and I do a really great job. Btw I just got a raise of $.50, I now make $8.50.
yeah you're telling me. I only work weekends, thats when its more busy..... I put in 12-14hrs usually each day.

Depends on how much work U do and Seem U have quite a lot of responsible for such low pay.As if something happens it's your butt.

I actually asked a question about DC motors earlier tonight. Let me explain in greater detail. I am building a very small pontoon boat for an engineering class and I set up a 12V DC blower motor with paddle wheels to propel the boat. I ran the motor 3 times and suddenly quit with no warning of malfunctions. I hooked a 7.2V battery to it and it quit. Then hooked the 12V source back to it and nothing. It quit with the 7.2V source. Also, no time for rust to set up. Ran the trials in 45 minutes. No, it was not sealed. Any explanation or was it just the water? The motor was sumerged. Was told by older fellow that the made trolling motors out of the same blower motors and it would last 3 fishing trips.

i own a shop and the reason it stopped working on it was you didn't have blower motor resistor hooked up on it,they wont take 12 volts for very long,its the amperage that gets them ,on a car they run through the resistor,and this is why they last so long on a car,if you,ll hook a resistor to it you can also control the speed of it like on your car heater motor ,good luck i hope this helps.

Ok so I am on date number two with this totally awesome girl and I here is what I was thinking. First we start off with a picnic on the beach. Then they have boat rental place there and you can rent paddle boats, canoes, bass boats, and pontoons. I was thinking paddle boat. So my questions are: Does this sound like a good date? What food do I make for a picnic? What kind of boat? Or should I even rent a boat? Anyything you would add or change?

It sounds like a great date. Food? well.. some sandwiches, perhaps pizza, bring a baguette and a bottle of red wine with two glasses. Open the wine while on the boat. Paddle boat sounds a bit childish rather than romantic but it depends on what age you two are or the idea you're trying to convey.I suggest a bass boat. Other than that, good luck. I think it will go well. Come back and tell us how it goes.
