22 Pontoon Boat

Need the average weight of a 22 foot pontoon boat.

A 20-22 ft "hull" ...no motor, fuel, accessories or trailer depending on brand, and seating configuration usually runs around 15-1800 pounds. Add a 50hp 4 stroke engine with battery, fuel, safety equipment, anchor and rode and you add about 5-700 pounds. You can take it from there.

1998 parti kraft 22' pontoon boat

I just wanted to know if there are any credit experts out there that may know what kind of credit score is needed to finance a new pontoon boat around 22,-23 thousand range? Another way to word the question is what would be the lowest acceptable scrore?

They will factor more than just score. I've seen credit reports with 750 and at a 90% portion of revolving debt. They will factor the following:
How much available credit do you have and owe? For a boat it should be at maximum 50%. How long have you established credit? Most lenders want to see 3+ years of established credit history. Derogs & Collections are a no brainer, you shouldn't have any. Do you have an open auto loan or mortgage? If you have a Heloc, you better not owe more than 30%. It seems like alot of factors to determine your lending worthiness, but its pretty simple. Try to factor these in before you apply. You don't want to put an inquiry on your credit (each one lowers your credit 3-5 points) when you have no shot of an approval, hopefully you do. Anyhow, just by going on score, it should not be lower than a 715. Good Luck!

Somehow I deleted 1/2 of my ? Anyways I spin my tires when I get out of the boat ramp when the boat is on the trailer I was wondering if the back end of the truck was too light or if the tires are not good for the job? The tires are 20 inch Goodyear.

and the question would be?

Wait...Truck...powerful enough to tow the boat, motor, trailer and all the goodies being carried, right?

Probably...but get a transmission cooler installed if hauling for a long period of time. If local, and I mean truly local like less than 20 minutes you might be okay without it but it's cheaper to get it than to replace the trans.

Now, if that wasn't the question being asked please amend your post so we can offer advice.

Thanks for the update. It could be both the tires and the truck rear end weight. Is she a 4X4 or 2 wheel drive? If 4X4 try pulling with the drive engaged in 4X low. If 2 wheel drive try adding weight to the bed. If you still spin you may want to buy some new tires.

Since only a few pontoon boat types plane most use a lower pitch than you would for a runabout 17" pitch is way too much prop for your application

I think a 10 7/8 or 11 " diameter in a 12 13 or 14 pitch

Best bet is to look on the side or the prop nut end of the one you have , the Diameter and pitch should be marked there and get the same size you have .

The dealer has already determained what prop works best for all around use for that boat and motor combination

Pontoons aren't really built for speed.

The best activity for a 'toon is cocktail cruising.

If you really want to know the speed try a handheld GPS.

Other than that: sit back, relax, and enjoy the cruise
