Do I need any permit or licence for Sevylor Inflatable boat HF360 in California lakes
You do need to get it registered with the State of California
Very affordable, extremely portable, super fun sailboat. SailboatsToGo.com is the website. Inflatable dinghy sailboat based on Sevylor K85 ...
The discription says it is rated for a 2.5 HP gas motor. I dont know too much about motors. The motor I saw that was a 2.5 HP gas motor, seemed a little big to me. Id rather use a trolling motor...
You didn't mention how big your Sevylor Fish Hunter inflatable boat was, but even the largest of that brand weight very little. You can get away with the smallest of trolling motors. It really depends on how fast you want to go, the size of body of water you will be fishing etc...
Trolling motors are rated by lbs of thrust as compared to gas outboard's hp rating. The smallest size trolling motors I know of are 28 lbs of thrust. They can go well over 50 lbs of thrust but those are for larger bass boats. The smallest 28 lb thrust trolling motor will suit your needs just fine. If you want your boat to move a little faster or handle fighting the wind you can consider a 30 lbs thrust or even a 36 lbs thrust trolling motor.
There are two major brands, Minn Kota and Motor Guide. Bass Pro shops also has a "store band". Personally I like Minn Kota and have used several over the years. I good way to get a great deal is to purchose reconditioned motors. You should be able to find a 28-36 lbs thrust motor for between $100 and $150.
Don't forget the "fuel" for your trolling motor which is a deep cycle battery. I personally use Interstate batteries and have had great luck with them. Make sure you also install a breaker switch between the battery and trolling motor to prevent an electrical issue. You will also need a way to recharge your battery after you have worn it down buzzing around in your boat. A simple battery charger will take care of that.
Oh yeah, stick with the factory recommended 2.5 hp rating if you ever decide to go the gas route. Coast Guard ratings are put on boats for a reason and guys who use too big an engine for their boat end up causing structural damage to their boats. 2.5 hp is more than enough power to zip a little inflatable such as yours.

I purchased a sevylor Inflatable 3 person boat a year ago on ebay. I also bought a used MinnKota brand 1.5 HP electric trolling motor. I was told i needed to register the boat if I want to take it out to a lake. I called but they were asking what dealer I bought it from , it was just some guy on ebay. Any help would be greatly appereciated.
JMack, I found a nice list of boat dealers. I think someone in your hometown can help assist you. http://www.boatsmap.com Just call one of them or drop by one day when you are not busy. Many dealers can even setup a test drive.

Is it worth getting, especially with a trolling motor?
Sevylor makes a pretty decent inflatable for the price. Had an Intex Seahawk 500, 11', with motor mounts sporting a Motor Guide 30 lb., thrust electric used for fishin' ponds, private lakes and rivers (slow movin' kind). If one cannot afford a vessel/boat and all the stuff that follows ie., gas engine, boat trailer, registration etc., then YES their worth gettin'. Sevylor and Intex run hand in hand in quality. Bout' the best inflatable one can get off the market be the Sea Eagle brand (link) butttttttt, we're talkin' some money. One draw- back on inflatables is the air, ya' know as in treble hooks and rubber are not compatible. With good common sense one can avoid problems regarding' that<);-3

anyone used Sevylor Super Caravelle Inflatable Boat for 3 person? how u feel? Sevylor Super Caravelle and SeaHawk 300, which one is better? thanks
The Super Caravelle is a decent boat to start with. If you take good care of it, it could last you for 6-8 years. If you enjoy the sport of boating and intend on doing a lot of it. Then it is well worth it to throw the money down and get a high quality product. It will more than pay for itself over the years. A good quality raft or ducky made from Hypalon rubber can last for 20 years or more under heavy abuse. I don't care for PVC models myself. Look into Hyside, NRS, or Aire. They all make a great boat! Have fun!

Buying a kayak Sevylor based on the top – the experience?
I'm considering buying the tire Sevylor based on top kayak – Seablade 1. I live near the sea (Europe) water is the most quiet time with a few waves. There are days with heavy wind waves .. Does anyone have experience with this product is good for recreational rowing? I think hard plastic, but they are expensive and difficult to transport and store.
I have been Buying a touring kayak for several months. The best place I've found the information you need is www.paddling.net. I'll join the review page for readers Sevylor Kayaks response.
