I've seen a lot of these dual-hulled inflatable pontoon boats used in America for fly fishing and i'm interested in getting one for my father's birthday.

They're also know as catarafts i think or as a variation of float tubes. They have two inflatable bladders with a seat suspended between and a bar to rest your feet on and they make great inflatable fishing boats. I can see plenty for sale in the US but none in the UK.

Are there any businesses out there shipping these to the UK?

I'm looking to get a boat that seats 3 or 4 people comfortably. Judging by the product photos, "comfortably" is not considered when they decipher the boats capacity.

A simple boat for me and my friend for everyday fishing in a lake. Safe. It needs to fit 2-3 adults comfortably. Multiply air chambers (for inflatable boats). Preferred 2 seats. Budget for boat alone (no accessories) is $500.

A canoe did go through my head but they tend to lean towards the expensive side. Unless someone could give me some examples to prove me wrong.

I recently purchased a 14' Aluminum V-hull and trailer from craiglist for $500. Keep your eyes peeled there are a lot of people trying to get rid of their boats these days.

Check newspapers, craigslist, and ebay.

Don't be afraid to negotiate the price.

You know, the ones that come in the box that can seat between 4-6 people and need to be inflated with an air pump.
Also, with a trolling electric motor.

I'm sure inflatables have came a long way since I used them, but I never did like them at all. For me, they were just a big hassle, and I've heard of several to get punctures from minor accidents. In my opinion, a regular plastic boat will serve you much better. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the money. I have a Pelican Bass Raider in their 10 foot size. I am very pleased with it. I have a 40 pound thrust Minn Kota equipped on it, which is more than enough honestly. It obviously won't hold 4-6 people, but not many smaller inflatables or plastic boats will. With that many people, you'll need a pretty hefty trolling motor and battery if you plan for fishing throughout a day. Just something to have a look at and consider.
