I bought a Inflatable boat with oars anyone know any good places to use it in San Diego?

Id rather not get hit or ran over by a jet sky XD

I think the best spot would be La Jolla Shores. At the south end is a small public boat ramp. The La Jolla Bay is a protected waters as part of the La Jolla Underwater Park & Ecological Reserve. It is a popular spot for kayaking, since the water is calm and clear, and there are interesting things to see.

Where is a good place to take an inflatable boat in Illinois?
98/365: Boat

I just purchased a nice little inflatable fishing boat. Oars, trolling motor, the whole nine but I'm not too high on the idea of taking it on the river. Can anyone recommend some good lakes? Perhaps especially lakes that don't allow powerboats? I live around the Streator-Ottawa area. Thanks!

This site has the info you need. Just remember to be safe in case something pops a hole in that boat. You should have life jackets for everyone on board and be close enough to shore to swim back if you had to. The water being so cold this time of year makes it even more dangerous. Safety first. In Michigan, a row boat doesn't need to be registered, anything with a motor does. You should check out the requirements for your state to avoid getting a ticket. You may need a registration sticker for your boat which is the equivalent of a license plate for a car. Good luck out there.

What is a good replacement for oars?
On the river

I don't have enough money to buy them. I am fishing in a small, inflatable boat. Is there a substitute to oars?
$30 is expensive for me.

You could buy an inexpensive double-ended kayak paddle for around $30 or $40. I even know someone who made his own paddle by cutting the blades from a 5-gallon heavy plastic bucket (the kind that drywall compound or paint come in) that he cut to shape and bolted to a six foot wooden pole! It was ugly but it worked.

What are the boat rules at Lake Mead in Boulder City Nevada for small inflatable/non motorized rafts?
navigatingthewindwardpassage

My friends and I have a 6-8' long raft that we wanted to use on the lake. It is not motorized and has oars. We were curious as to what the rules and regulations are. All we plan on doing is rowing it out and swimming, using the boat to hold water bottles or snacks. Knowing my friend, he will want to try and row to an island. are there rules for being out at night?

I'm not sure what the actual regs are, but I doubt that anyone will hassle you for using your raft. Its small enough that I doubt that it would need to be registered or anything. You can ask a ranger when you pay your money to enter the park.
Just remember, Lake Mead can get very windy, very fast. So be careful.

Will it be possible to drift down the danube in a small inflatable rubber boat?
mscneg092

This just struck me as the cheapest and coolest way of travelling. I'm picturing the kind of inflatable boat that can be bought at toy shops. It's so small, you can easily take it as part of your hand luggage on a Ryanair flight, even with foot pump and oars (unless they're considered weapons). I'm wondering whether the current will be dangerously strong at any point, and if it will be easy to go on and off shore. How fast would one travel by just drifting? This is something I want to do during the summer together with friends, which I guess would improve the safety concerns. And don't worry I'll wear a lifejacket, bring woolen long underwear and rain gear. Here is a picture of the boat: http://edge1.dealsdirect.net/images/prod ucts/3535/1/product1_3535.jpg

Never saw anyone attempting this while on the Danube myself--there are lots of locks to navigate, plus river cruise ships to avoid.

Not a good idea, to my way of thinking. Research the locks first!!

This inflatable boat has a hard floor. The floor is made from marine plywood specially coated to a thickness of 24mm. The floor is aluminum framed and unfolds when the boat is being set up. Bars hold the unfolded floor rigid. The advantage of a rigid floor is that it is easy to walk and stand up once in the boat. If you take a dog along, there is no scrabbling of claws and feet in order for it to remain steady.

The fabric is polyester which has three layers to a thickness of 0.9mm. The polyester is reinforced so that it resist corrosion, the sun, salt and other destructive elements.

There is a one way drain plug and 3 air chambers being the two pontoon-like structures on the sides and the one at the bow. The bow forms what looks like a straight-edge with rounded corners. Underneath the boat, on the waterside, is a slight ‘V’ which is like a keel and helps with the tracking.
