can you read my speech and tel me if its alright?

for my english class i have to write a speech on something that happend to me. i'm not the best writer so can you review mine and tell me some changes i can do? any corrections? this is just a rough draft. and im going to start bby asking the class a question

So, do any of you guys know what a banana boat is? yes, it's a type of inflatable boat in the form of a banana pulled by a motor boat.

so, when i was six years old, i was going on a trip to hawaii. my family and i went to the beach. i looked out into the ocean and saw people riding a giant banana. it looked interesting and fun. so i begged and begged my dad to go. and after an hour of wining he finally let me.

so, we got on the boat and i was very excited. the boat was moving faster and faster. i was having so much fun but i started to get a little scared. the guy driving the motor boat was goin way to fast. i flipped, i kicked my dad in the face and fell into the middle of the ocean. i thought they would stop and come get me but the driver kept on going. so, i was left there for 15 to 20 minutes.

i was floating there crying like crazy. they finally came back and i never went on the banana boat again.

You used the word "so" way too many times and it doesn't flow well. I guess if I was the one writing your speech from what information you have here I would write:
If you insist on asking a question in the beginning I would say, "Does anyone know what a banana boat is?" (wait for answer?) then proceed to describe that it is an inflatable banana shaped boat pulled by a motor boat.

When I was six-years old my family and I went on a trip to Hawaii. When we got to the beach and looked out into the ocean we saw the craziest boat in the shape of a banana being pulled by a speed boat. It looked very interesting and a lot of fun so I really wanted to try it! I begged my dad for an hour, he finally gave in because he was sick of my whining.

I was so excited when my dad and I got on the boat. It started out slow and kept getting faster and my excitement turned into fear. I thought that the guy driving the speed boat was going way too fast and the next thing I knew I flipped, kicking my dad in the face and had fallen into the middle of the ocean. I thought that they would turn around and come back for me but they kept going and I was left floating in the ocean for 15-20 minutes. I was floating there in the middle of the ocean and crying when they finally came back to get me. Needless to say I never went on the banana boat again!

Dreamweaver head tag in editable region & swf file problems?

I have created a template to use for a website. In some of the pages, I want to add some spry panels and widgets. However, when I try, I get a pop up message telling me that the head tag is in a locked region and that to insert the content I have to unlock it.

Also, when I try to enter an swf file on a page, I get an error telling me that while executing objectTag in Flash.htm, a JavaScript error occured.

What can I do?

Below is the code of the template page:

Thanks

ok well im guessing your using dreamweaver yes? and im guessing you used the file>save as template option? if you did for some reason dreamweaver always locks the template. i havent had to mess with this issue in a while so i dont remember which option it is,but its something extremely simple. but if memory serves, its either Edit>template>unlock or modify>template>unlock.

As for the flash not working, again this is for dreamweaver. i learned this little trick in my first web design class. when you insert you flash document, select it, then change to the code screen, within that code there should be these two elements <noscript> and </noscript> delete them. see if that works. if not, "apple z" (or ctrl z) =P good luck

  • Banana Boat blamed for death of Indian Tourist | Pattaya Bar Girls

A banana boat ride in the waters off Larn Island is being blamed for the death of a female Indian tourist. The incident occurred on Wednesday Afternoon at Tawaen Beach on the Island, which is located 4kms off the coast of Pattaya. Mrs. Ratnamala Pradip Korad aged 51 was one of 5 people on the inflatable banana boat and the boat operator was preparing to overturn the boat close to the shoreline as the trip had come to a close.

The customers were tipped over and it is claimed that Mrs. Korad drowned in the shallow water. The body was taken to Pattaya and will be transported to the Police Forensic Institute in Bangkok for a post mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. We understand that no action is to be brought against the boat operator.
