I'd like to buy a 18-24' used boat--maybe an open bow or possibly a cuddie cabin. How do boat mfg. rate?

Well if you don't know much about boats and are looking to buy one, you can go to Nada and get a "Average" price of what you are looking at to see what the value should be.

Of couse the condition of the hull, engine and other wear and tear come into play also and it may be worth your effort to take the boat to a marina and have a mech. go and do a checkout of it, they will charge you for the time, but it may be better than paying a lot for a piece of junk.

Also make sure you get a boat for what you want to use it for, don't get a river boat for the ocean or a lake boat for the river...

2004 Stingray 220sx. is in winter storage had the engine and foot oil changed before storage, in the winter the boat is always kept in a garage since new and in the summer i kept it under a carport and under cover....it's ready for the spring.. i believe the motor has just under or just over 300hrs with volvo outdrives has 5.7L motor SS Prop chrome thru hull exhaust tips, kicker stereo with amp and sub, dual batteries with switch. boat has been well maintained and is in great shape but has some minor signs of use, i am the second owner and bought this boat from a guy i know who takes really good care of his stuff he sold to upgrade to a 32ft checkmate, and i also am selling only to get something bigger, for next summer, i put over 60 hours on it last summer. This boat will not dissapoint you sounds good and it will run 65+MPH All the ropes and bumpers and around ten life jackets are included if wanted. Sleeps two comfortable......
