Cabin Power Boat

I'm commuting across a harbour with a 3-meter aluminum boat every day, and I am considering to build a cozy, fully enclosed structure onto it to protect me from the elements and the engine noise. Trouble is, I've constructed this in CAD, and it looks pretty top-heavy. But I don't think it is, as it's going to be all aluminum and PVC windows. I'm only worried about stability when the wind comes from the side - is this too small a boat to put a cabin onto?

Consider making the enclosure out of canvas to keep down on weight. Aluminum tubing or even PVC pipe might be just fine and light enough - PVC windows? Like clear vinyl - should be ok - not sure how well they clean up in regards to scratches and all.

Its not difficult but there are a few things you need to know - size of cables, fusing, switches, etc.
You can find a host of books at Amazon and a good enough one is 'The 12 volt Bible for boats' - it is about £12 and tells you all you need to know in a fairly simple form. Do get it as fire is a big hazard on boats especially if you have bottled gas as well.

please do not answer if you think i can not buy one for this amount of money and i don't mind if it is second-hand but as long as it is good condition

craigslist and ebay would be your best bet. ebay because there auctions and you might win one hahaa and craigslist because a lot of people just list there boats to get rid of them. for that much money you would be lucky to get PoS over 25 feet. lol most likely its going to be a 18-25ft a lot of stuff messed up not a big kitchen and a small bed

18 ton too big for cabin cruiser that is serious ocean going vessel. Needs big diesel engines. You even barley nudge a dock you will cause herendous damage
