Quicksilver is the aftermarket division of Mercury Marine products.

Is this for an Inboard/Outboard, or outboard?

Take this serial number, the type (I/O or outboard), and the Horsepower of it to a Mercury dealership or Mercury service shop. They should be able to easily tell you the year of its manufacture and other important details.

Have the above stainless prop, but don't know what boat motors it will fit on properly.

Had to replace my start switch in my unit. When i took it apart small brass roller fell out and i did not see where it came from. It measures about 3/8 in dia. and is about 3/8 in long. only thing that i can not find where it goes back lmao. Can anyone give me an idea.
I think maybe it goes in one of three small slots that look like they may activate the micro switch for start position in neutral. not sure. could you put a break down on here some how so i could maybe find it please if possible i mean.
Or email me picture of one in break down. One I have has one lever and a fast idle lever mount on main shifter. it is any older one.

Trim is to change the angle of propulsion. Trim in- forces the bow of the boat deeper in the water, giving you more positive steering, and better handling in rougher water. Trim out elevates the bow, giving the boat less running area in the water, allowing greater speed and fuel economy, and easier steering Control at speed.

Trailer should only be used when the boat is on the trailer, and shut off. It is to allow you to trailer the boat without fear of the lower gearcase coming in contact with the road/ground. If you run the boat while the outdrive is elevated in the trailer position, you will cause damage to the drive yoke inside the upper gearcase. The repair is about $1200

The jury is still out on this issue. Best advise is to run the premium as empty as possible, then switch over. I've heard few problems mixing the two, ie. not draining before changing. Perhaps a dealer might have updated advise from the factory. Good Luck!.................EDIT................... Because of Havoc Squads Answer I need to explain more fully my answer........
All 2 cycle outboards require that oil be mixed with the fuel...and since the 1960's the industry has set standards for that oil. TC-W (two cycle water cooled) was the standard. regardless of the manufacturer all engines were designed to run on that oil. That standard has been changed in twice since then TC-W2 and most recently TC-W3 This has nothing to do with 4 cycle oil, or lower unit oil. There have been two other developments. The first and most important is Synthetic TC-W3 and the second was for Direct Fuel Injected (DCI) engines TC-W 3 The askers question did not ask about the this last change. He was asking about TC-W3 mixing with TC-W3 (plus) oil. Before the marketing of the plus oil, The factory recommended using the premium oil. When they had developed the synthetic enough to market, they added it to the line, as a substitute. You can use either. The question then becomes can you mix the two. The factory says yes you can, but haven't been as clear about draining and flushing the system. If the asker has a DFI motor he should know to use the DFI oil. I hope this better explain my answer.
