What are my options for draining oil from the chevy 454 engine i have in my jet boat?

I need to know how many litres per minute a jet boat pump is outputting. I know that the outlet diameter is 28mm and the thrust is 5kg. Power source is 2x7.2V 3300mAh batteries.

It depends on how you are figuring out the thrust, how much current your motor draws, or its efficiency. If you knew the wattage your motor uses and it's efficiency you could just calculate using the formula for pump head.

I am building commuter boats at the moment for the Otago Harbour in southern NZ, the more the merrier.
Latest idea: Get a displacement hull and power it with a diesel pump, to get a jet drive (good for crossing the sandbanks at low tide, and to allow the boat to sit on the mud if the water recedes).
But just what kind of pump would work? I need to get the displacement boat up to about 8 knots.

The idea is good only problem is the pickups on the bottom of the boat an the pump will suck the sand an mud destroying the pump & housing.This is the issue with jet drives. Think about arnesen surface drive as there not under the boats bottom??

Does any one know of any place that rents jet boats (not jet skis) I'm going to be in new smyrna beach 3/13/09 - 3/23/09 and am looking to rent a small jet boat such as a sea doo or yamaha.

I want to keep my sea doo jet boat in salt water for a few days and then flush it when I am done. Will this harm the boat?

ya if you can take it out of the water ask much as you can. but it wont really do much.
