Small Boat Trailer

i have a small boat trailer with no tags. i live in ohio and i know i have to get it weighted but do i just drive it to the weight staition without tags and then take the weight slip to the dmv to buy the tags?

You can get a temporary tag I believe from the BMV.

I have a boat trailer that I just got from a friend of a friend over a year ago. He gave me no title nor bill of sale...no paperwork at all. Its a single axle and well under 2,000 lbs. The boat carries up to 2 adults (very small motorless boat).
Do I need to register this trailer with WA DOL?

Also, is it illegal if taillights on trailer don't work?

but as far as registering the trailer yes if you live in Missouri you do - I live in Missouri & we have to register any and ALL trailers, boats, boat MOTORS (yup) - vehicles.....

Where is the cheapest place to get a small jon boat trailer?
I live in Louisiana and I need a trailer for my 12' jon boat. Is there somewhere that sells cheap trailers, or maybe a website for a kit that I can put together? I have tried local ads, ebay and craigs list.

borrowed the boat from my grandfather who lives in WI. the boats registered in WI but i got a ticket for improper registration well it was parked at the boat lunch and i was on the water with the boat. do you need to have a trailer for a small 14 ft boat registered in WI? if not i should just be able to prove its from WI then....

Wisconsin does not require small boat trailers to be registered. I do not know what Minnesota law says about your situation. Why not call Minnesota Dept of Transportation and ask. I do know that if you take a Wisconsin canoe or kayak into the Boundary waters you are required to register the boat with Wisconsin even though not ordinarily required. Very likely the same thing applies for you. You can license a small trailer in Wisconsin even though not normally required. If trailering to a state requiring licensing, likely you need to get a Wis license.
