Boat weighs in at around 9000 lbs.

you will have to have a custom trailer built for your boat. If you are going to do it yourself,

start with the boat blocked up about 2 feet.
Lay in the axles, twins from your weight description.
Build some 2x4 jigs to support the rails that will hold the hull..
Bring in a basic trailer frame
Weld up some rail supports.
Set it all down on the springs till you get a hitch weight of 100#.
Weld the spring hangers, and attach the springs.
Remove the 2x4 jigs,
wire for lights and brakes
attach the fenders.
go to dmv and get a title.

My demonstration of prototype mobile boat enclosure. Custom trailer trailer drops boat into water and opens canopy in same motion.

If I have a boat that's 27' L. is there a boat trailer that I can use to move a 27' L and 31'L. boat is there one trailer that can do the job ? If there is would they be very expensive would that be consider a custom built trailer ? If a trailer does adjust what would be a maximum adjustment I could use a name of such a trailer thanks.

Towing rules are different in the USA. In Europe we have that pesky 3.5 ton rule and width limit rule of seven feet six inches. Anyhow I did have a superb American made trailer for a whole three days before "gippos" stole it. (the G word is not racist by the way, it is applied to anyone who travels around stealing plant, trailers, aluminium road signs, manhole lids, copper cable, bronze plaques from gravestones etc.) The trailer brand was "Loadrite" and it vanished in spite of two good padlocks and a wheel clamp.
If you get a trailer with boat shaped axles the boat will ride lower and be easier to launch. Keep it secure and stamp your ZIP on it.

We have a custom built trailer, built 40 years ago. Due to the very special design of the trailer, a near exact replacement is needed.

DESCRIPTION: 2 inch wide, 4 Leaf, Flat end Slipper type, 29 1/2 inches from pivot center to end, 3/4 inch pivot ID, and the leaves are roughly 7/16 inch thick, or 400 thousandths as measured with micrometer. We do not know the load rating of this spring.

We do know the spring was salvaged from a very large mobile home's axle assembly.

Could you please help us find a source for replacements? The most important specifications are the width (2") and the pivot hole. (3/4") Possibly a different number of leaves could work also. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated very much.

You should be able to find a "Spring" shop in your town. What they will need is either the spring itself, or all of the specs and weight capacity of the trailer, or all of the above. They will then custom make a new set of springs for you. It's best to replace both as a set rather than just replace a single spring.

Trying to find a new spring for a 40 year old trailer just isn't going to happen without any knowledge of where it came from or what it's off of.

I own a 16 foot pleasure craft, and i want to take it across the border into canada to use while i'm on vacation. It is registered in Michigan (boat sticker) and meets all of the coast guard regulations (lights horns emergency flares)

are there any additional papers or things i may need to clear customs and operate on lake huron (close to shore)?

make sure that all the trailer lights safety chains and things are in order. in ontario the boat has to have an additional chain or tiedown device in front in addition to the winch rope. I have known people to be stopped and checked for this! have proof of ownership and proper documents for both trailer and boat. if you are just going on a trip its very easy, but to leave a boat in canada requires alot of paper work(for summer, month etc, and return to use it later). in canada the pfc's have to be blaze orange mandatory. check with local customs or go to the ontario ministry of natural resources for upto date regs. ps check boat for left over beer bottles or other illegal items that are not allowed into canada(cant drink at all in boat or have open containers that means old emptys too. live on borderlake in mn and ontario have boated in canada all my life.

It has always been under cover. Excellent shape. Low hours. Always in fresh water. Am/Fm/Cd w/4 speakers. Dock lights. On a Tritoon trailer and has a 140 Johnson 4 stroke engine. Needs no work...ready to go

60% of new price when bought at least, it may be worth 75% or better, but in this current time there are not the cashed up buyers out there. Discuss it with a dealer for commission sale - then you expect to get that 60% or a little more, and they will want 10% typically of the sale price.

If you have to sell it quick you will have to settle for less, if you can wait you will do better, depends on your situation really.
