Boat Trailer Size

I need to replace the boat triler tires but cannot find the size I need. Is there another tire number that will meet the specifications?

Consider all of these:
1. Weight of boat plus engine plus fuel
2. Salt water or fresh water. Salt water use galvanized steel
3. Electrics for brake lights, turn signals, etc should be removable easily when backing up into water.
4. Use C channel steel. Not box or round pipes. They retain water inside. especially bad if its salt water.
5. Tires are usually 14 inch. For salt water use alloy rims.
6. Tires must have fenders to be road legal
7. Brake system for the trailer. Else your car cannot stop.
8. Axle placement must be slightly back of dead center so the weight slightly rests forwards onto the towing hook. If the weight is far back, the trailer will lift up yor car's rear end and while towing, the trailer will sway left and right. Great for side swiping cars on the road.

Sure, as long as the tires are the same size, which means the size code on the car tires is exactly the same except for the "P" on the front. So if you have car tires that are size P215/75R14, they'll work. Just make sure to inflate them right up to 35 PSI when they're cold (if you have to put air in them after hauling the boat to a gas station, fill them to about 40 PSI instead).

Without knowing what size boat you have, it is impossible to answer the question. You want a trailer that is large enough that you boat will fit on it correctly, and one that will hold the weight of the boat, fuel, supplies and anything else that you will be putting in the boat.

I'll obviously arrive to pick the boat up, however are there standard size balls, etc? And i don't want to arrive with the wrong size hitch. Also how do i know what inch "drop" i'll need on the hitch as well? 2", 3"?

The size of the ball is printed on the trailer hitch. Check it out or call the seller.

The drop can only be determined by putting the trailer and the truck together. Using the tongue jack get the trailer as level as possible, and back your truck up to compare hitch and tongue. Now, don't forget to take into account some sag as the weight of the tongue comes down on the hitch.
