what easy to use bunk trailer boat or roller trailer?

i have to buy a boat trailer (25' boat) what is easy to handle roller trailer or bunk trailer for the boat in & out the water i will use the trailer twice a week?

I used both to launch and recover 25' Bayliners hundreds of times. Correctly used the roller trailer is more versatile, depending on the ramp and water depth. I could often drive the boat on the trailer on the first attempt. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Can i repaint my boat trailer, with some cheap exterior paint from a hardware store?

i have a 1987 16' spartan roller boat trailer, i don't have a lot of money to spend on some good marine paint so i was wondering if i could buy some wheather excelled paint from like a hardware store or something, and avoid rust for a long time to come

I assume this isn't a wooden trailer. Painting metal is more difficult than painting a house. Metal tends to not want to hold paint and if you just put it on, it will peal off quickly. Use an automotive primer and paint.

boat trailer rollers?

can you tell me if the roller on a boat trailer turns on the spindle, or is the spindle such a tight fit in the roller that it does turn with the spindle, or does it not make any difference anyway ? cheers
the rollers - brackets and spindles are brand new, and they are matched part numbers, but

I had to hammer the spindle into the rollers,
sorry about errors but not that used to keyboard

The rollers on all trailers should turn on the spindle. I've seen rollers that were overloaded and bent, and or the rubber split in such a way that they didn't turn. I've loaded literally hundreds if not thousands of boats on trailers, and a well maintained trailer is a must. that includes rollers. I've seen hulls gouged by the brackets that hold the rollers. and boats damaged when parts broke. I hope this helps.

How difficult is it to convert a roller trailer to a bunk trailer for an 18 ft boat?

Not difficult at all---
No 1---remove rollers and brackets
2---Go to your marine dealer and purchase brackets for a bunk trailer.
3--- go to build all store and buy the 2 by 4 stringers and enough carpet to cover them. Attach indoor /outdoor carpet with a staple gun.
4---Bolt the brackets you bought to the 2 by 4s

5---Bolt the 2by 4 stringers to the trailer

Your done ,put the boat on and go home.

Boat trailer Bunk Or Rollers?

Hi i am about to buy a new trailer for my boat but i am unsure which to choose from.

I own a 16ft speedboat and it will be stored and launched from trailer at every use. So i am looking for one that will make launching easy and fast and also the one that will do the least damage to my boat.

Which would be better for me rollercoaster or bunks and 4 rollers?

I think a roller trailer is better for general use. A lot depends on the ramp that you use. Roller trailers adapt to different conditions like a shallow angle on the ramp. They support the hull with enough rollers that they don't damage the hull. With practice you can drive the boat on and off the trailer. I do like bunk trailers for Bass boats........ Good Luck!
