Boat Trailer Part

My front axel on my boat trailer broke and now i want to replace it and a few other parts on my trailer

Northern Tool has a decent selection of trailer parts in the area. The location nearest me is at 45 south and Monroe. I am not sure what area you are in.

If so, how do you change the bulbs? I see no way to get them apart by prying, and there's no screws.

MrFixIt6 is right. I have the same type but mine has the screws he mentions.
I'm confused, though, in that one of the reviews mentions replacing the bulbs. (Irby9005)
If it's a sealed unit, then for sure you have to replace the entire unit.
If it's not, then the bulb units must have some sort of tight rubber gasket to keep the water out.
I'd call the manufacturer (or emailo them) and get the straight ifo from them..

A couple years ago another neighbor wanted to park his boat and trailer on our land for a short time. The short time turned into almost 2 years free of charge. Also he ended up using parts of our yard that we never agreed to, parked a blown up van there and when he moved, he came back 6 months later to finally get his boat and vehicles removed. He left burnt metal and tons of glass and never offered to clean it up or pay us anything. Another neighbor asked us tonight if he could rent the area and he would maintain it, mow the yard around it, etc. The area is behind our shed and behind part of our fence. It has a 2 car driveway that is old and cracked where a barn used to sit there. The yard around it is also about the same size. Would this cause our insurance to go up any? Are there any other things we should consider to rent it on a monthly basis. And what could we charge? Thank you.

I believe it creates a liability issue for you. if some kid got hurt on the boat they would come after you as property owner.

I would make a lease with strict guidelines regarding the size of the rented area. Also explain that if the rent is past 30 days the boat will be removed off the property at his expense. Go read the tenant landlord laws for your state, it will give you an idea of how to go about this. But as long as your lease contract does not violate state law you can make any term(s) you deem fit for the situation.

Also see if you can have them get a renters insurance policy.. Not sure but it there are policies for this situation make them get renters insurance to cover any injuries.

i have a small boat trailer which has to do 400 miles next week and want to change the bearings just in case. I was wondering, how do I know what to get. Do I just take the old ones out, look at the numbers and go on ebay or some shop or is it harder? Its a small 2 wheel trailer with a 14ft fiberglass boat on.

Also, should the main axel part of the trailer bend. Its just a square bit of metal not rotating but the main bit that joins the hubs of both wheels together. When the boat is on it, it flexes quite a lot. Is this ok?
ok, but will itbe ok for 400 miles? Im thinking of welding another bar across for more strength but dont have the time really.
Well the wheels do go in at the top a bit but the tread looks even. The trailer is very simple t-bar with a couple of smaller supports going from near the hubs to the front of the trailer. Is this bending a problem? Should I do something about it?

Should be no need to replace the bearings. All you need to do is re-pack them with axle grease. The axle is probably a torsion bar and is supposed to flex. Don't alter it.

Just bought a HOPKINS 7 RV plug and 4 flat wire plug combo. The wires coming out of the back of the plug are as followed. A standard 4 flat wire plug (Brown,Yellow, Green) separate is a larger guage of wire a white (ground) purple, blue, and black.
My truck or trailer has neither electronic brakes on the trailer or control box inside the truck. The only thing I need is for the lights to work on my camper and boat trailer. How do I wire if I don't have electronic brakes. (1998 FORD F-150)
