I have a 1987 EZ Load trailer w/a 19' fiberglass boat on it. I noticed today that the (2) front hanging U brackets that hold the leaf springs are both detached from the frame. The aren't broken, the weld has broken.

I have no way of getting the boat off as I'm not going to drive it like this (even though I recently hauled it to 2 different lakes). Is it possible to get this welded while the boat is still on the trailer? I should be able to jack up both sides & support it w/jack stands.

Yes, it's probable that it can be welded with the boat on the trailer. Some welders will come to you, others you'll need to take it to them. Let the welder tell you how he wants to do this. If it is as I suspect he might want to weld it with the frame against the bracket.

Would you pay $250 for both the boat and trailer in the picture that is linked below? The boat is a 12' aluminum jon boat and the trailer is made entirely from steel. As you can see in the picture the trailer also features a hand winch, jack, and spare tire.

If I had $250 extra dollars and enough spare time to spend a few hours a week floating around the lake drowning worms, I'd pay $250 for that set up. Too bad it doesn't have a motor, but you can always get an electric motor and battery somewhere else. Most of the fishing lakes around my house only allow electric motors anyway.

I've been given an old 26' power boat that needs some work and its on a tandem axle trailer. The trailer tires are flat and have been flat for awhile so I'm going to replace them to move the boat to my place. My question is where should I jack up each side? The boat has to stay on so theres going to be 4000-5000 (guess) lbs on the trailer. Should I jack at the suspension point between the two tires?

put the jack as close to the tire as possible on the axle of the tire you are working on.

Like new . Bike racks on top. New deep cycle battery & box, new propane tank, new radial tires (over rated) with boat trailer grease caps,brand new heavy duty jack. Has two burner stove, sink, icebox. curtains. & full dropdown door. Thinking about selling & don't want to get ripped off. Thanks for any info.
