I found a 16 or18 ga. pair of wires coming from inside a hole of the tube/axle of a 2 axle boat trailer. What could they be there for? The trailer has surge brakes.
so it couldve been used either way, depended on how they used the axle, most are made in a production line, so they can use them on several types of trailers.

I was wondering have a boat trailer axle will that be good to put 13 inch or 14 inch car tires on?
Sure. Just remember that a 185/75/14 car tire does not have the same weight capacity as the same size trailer tire. But, if you do not plan on carrying heavy loads, then the auto tire would be fine.
If you are still using this trailer for your boat, then you need to stick with a trailer tire. Trailer tires are built with more ply's allowing better weight capacity and stronger side walls. Stronger side walls are very important when hitting curbs or using un-improved ramps that are poorly maintained.

It currently has a 19' boat on it so therefore I can't transport it without the license even to where it would get licensed. Do I just tell somebody at the dmv I want a license for a single axle trailer? I live in Michigan if this would influence what I need to do.
It does not have any plate on it now
i'm trying to move the boat, not put it in the water so i dont need to license the boat only the trailer
Call your local DMV. They will tell you what you need or refer you to a web sight that will describe what to bring to recive a tag. Some states have a flat rate for specific sized and type trailers, while others tax based on weight. You will most likely have to produce a bill of sale of when and where you purchased it, and you will have to have a rep from the DMV or local police take a look at it and deam it road worthy/street leagle.

Looking for a galvanized triple axle boat trailer for a single hull 31 foot boat. We live in Connecticut. New or used doesn't matter not over $5,000.
For a 31' boat you want to "Cheap" out on the most important part of your boat? You're taking an awfully big chance on a used trailer which really needs to be fitted to the hull of the boat. Trailers are NOT universal to boat hulls. Each trailer is fitted for the proper spacing and angles of the hull. Having a bunker in the wrong place can cause minute fractures to the hull. These fractures lead to leaking hulls or worse, a hull imploding while under stress. A new properly fitted trailer will be in the range of $8k-$10k and be fitted to the hull and have a warranty. Plus with ALL triple axle trailers, they will have electric brakes install as standard due to the carry weight. Make sure that your truck has the right electrical controls for that setup. Try the company below. I have used their trailers for years and currently have one under my 26' Express Cruiser.
It doesn't have a plate already on it and theres a boat already on it. I live in Michigan. Any suggestions?
Hi
I also live in Michigan , and have single axle trailer. I also use to design camping trailers. I have never had any proplem getting my trailer licenced. I did have to have the trailer weighed and take a weight slip to the license branch. If your worried about the capicity of the trailer, as long as you do not exceed the wt rating on your tires you should be fine.

How to Realign a Boat Trailer Axle | DoItYourself.com
Step 1 – Preparing the Trailer
Be sure to remove the boat from your trailer before you begin. The axle realignment process will be much easier, without the weight of the boat. Park the boat trailer on a flat, hard and level surface. The area you work in should be well lit, in order to see the axle clearly.
Step 2 – Positioning the JackAttach a chain, that is at least 5/16 of an inch, to both sides of the axle. Position your jack under the axle, and parallel with the ground. Place your block between the axle and the bottom of the jack.
Step 3 – Realigning the AxleUse the jack to flex the axle. Lever the jack to pull on the chain. Over tighten the chain somewhat, to compensate for the axle springing back when the jack is removed. Continue jacking the chain, until the axle is properly realigned.
