This comes up every now and then......and the answer is, no it's just a little to long. It's the trailer tongue that gets you. Some owners have gone to the added expense of removing the trailer tongue, but not very practical.
The LOA of the boat is 22'8" from bow to back of drive in the down position. Add 1 1/2 ft, I/O model with drive up. But the Bow-stop and tongue of the trailer adds at least 4 feet or more.

I just bought a 1995 bayliner 1854 boat and took it out for the first time. At first the trim went down fine and would move up by just using the trim up button on the throttle, but when i reloaded it the trim up button didn't bring the outdrive up, so i had to use the trailer button to bring the outdrive all the way up. Any suggestions on what could be wrong or what could be done to fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Your trim up button will only bring your drive up part way.If it is doing this it is working properly. To raise your drive up to the top you must use the trailer button. If your trim button is not working there could be a couple of things wrong with it.There is a trim limit switch on the out-drive that may not be working,
or it could be the switch in the handle. To check the switch you will need a 12 volt test light.Check the wire coming out of the switch for power when you push the switch. No power bad switch. If you have power you can check the sender at the stern of the boat where the 2 wires come through the transom
to the pump.Un-plug 1 wire and have someone push the switch to see if there is power. If there is no power the trim limit sender on your out-drive needs to be replaced.I hope this
helps you fix your problem.Good luck.

The boat's weight is around 2,175 lbs without the trailer. The trailer is single axle made of aluminum. What is a safe weight to pull with the V6 4X4?
the vehicle itself should be capable of pulling this boat fine. however you have to make sure you have the right class of tow hitch otherwise it will not work.

I have a 24ft Bayliner and am looking to buy a boat trailer. I've found a Eagle trailer made for 22" boats. The measurement of my boat's centerline is 23.5". The length from the tow hook (connects to wrench) of the boat to transom is 19.5, which is the exact length of the trailer. The GVWR is 6000 but then the trailer's label also mentioned something 3000 per axle. This is a tandem 4 wheel boat trailer....My boat's dry weight @ 4650. Would this be ideal for my boat?? Please advice.
you need a trailer made specifically for a 24' boat with your hull design. anything else will result in damage by improperly supporting the boats weight, you can completely total the boat by putting it on a trailer not meant for it.
i'd check with ezlaoder, very big maker of boat trailers and many bayliner original trailers are made by ezloader.

it may cost more, but they can get you a trailer that properly supports your boat and protects the investment you have in it.
and weight capacity of the one you are looking at is too little. add in a full tank of fuel and gear and boat weight can get well over 5,000 lbs. add in trailer weight, and even dry your pushing that 6,000 lb limit.
I stored the boat over the winter, with a boat cover. When I removed the boat cover I noticed moisture in the engine compartment. Now my trim down button won't work, when the button is pressed I hear just s clicking sound at the trim pump and then it goes away with no movement. The trailer button(up) seems to work. Please help
I checked the trim pump by jumping the green wire and it works. So do I have a bad switch or the wires at the pump area is bad?
up down as far as the motor is concerned is just a simple matter of which wire is positive and which is negative.
in a proper working system, when nothing is being pushed, BOTH wires are a ground. then when you enage it, whichever side you pick, you energize a relay and it provides positive power through one of the wires. motor runs.
if you are hearing a clicking sound, the relay is engaging but power isnt making it through it and to the motor.
simplest test would be switch the two relays. there should be two of them mounted on the trim pump motor assembly. one is up, one is down.
switch them and if the relay is bad it will go down but not up. buy a new relay, probaly has numbers on it and can get macthed up at a auto parts store for less than a marine store. either way its not a expensive part.
if the relay is good it will continue to work how it is now.
its a 4 pin relay.
one pin is signal ground, it should always be a good ground. since it clicks you know it is.
next is signal positive. it should provide positive power when you push the apporiate control button, and only when pushing that button. since it clicks you know it works.
then you got positive power for the motor, it should always be providing power.
and then you got to the motor itself.

1998 bayliner boat with electric problems? | Bayliner Parts ...
I have 1998 bayliner serenity with 3.0 L. , it keep blowing the 15 amp ignition fuse it will run for a few minutes sometimes then blow fuse. It might blow several before it will start again it seems to get worse when it gets hot. Earlier this summer the igintion module went bad I, put a new automotive module on , is this the same as marine could this be part of my problems? When engine is running it runs rough, it ran fine before the module went bad. Do i have multiple problems?
I had to think a few seconds…….Get the marine module……….but it sounds like an electrical problem, and it night have caused the old module to fail. They don’t like extraneous spark…..think shorts. So, it’s a wiring or component failure. These are often hard to find. Start at the Battery terminals, looking for corroded wires and bad connections, then go to each sender on the engine to make sure wires are well insulated. Then go to the dash panel…….look at any added equipment wires, for things like bilge pumps and GPS units…….If you can isolate the problem it’s easier to find but the blown fuses are a good indicator. Unplug the module or you risk blowing it.

The first time I encountered a Bayliner was in an American powerboat magazine in about 1984. Surprisingly, the ad didn't show a family enjoying itself out on the water, or even (as was common at the time) a single bloke blasting along in a boat full of
