Boat Seat Stand

the seat on my boat is attached to the boat with a big round plate. The plate has like 8 BIG screws, like you need a big head screaddriver. Not too big, but fatty. The screws are tight torque. I can't take them off, which I have to. The drill does not fit because I cant stand it up vertically. Not enough space. Any ideas how to remove the %$%$#@ screws?

With a power driver if there is an inspection plate near the seat there many be nuts on the back side??If U remove the top half of the seat U can go almost straight down on the screws.

jon boat 14 feet long with the bottom 31 inches wide....
turning into bass boat...decking, seats, livewell etc...
will it be stable enough to stand on the front deck that i build?

I do not believe that you will have a stable boat. You are adding more weight to a hull designed to carry a few hundred pounds, lowering your freeboard, making capsizing a very real concern. If you want to stand and fish get a wider jon boat.

im not sure if i should get a flat bottom or a round. i plan on powering it with a 36lb thrust minni kota that i use on my canoe now. this will be me fishing boat i plan on putting in swivel seats and id like to be able to stand when needed.
needs to be around 10 ft mybe a lil more 2 person and easy to load on top of my jeep. thanks

Maybe you need to put an add in the local paper, or on EBay, or Craig's List.
Maybe place it along side a busy road with a 'For Sale' sign on it.
