Boat Seat Post

I want to get a 14' aluminum fishing boat. The problem is that most seem to have 3 bench style seats. I would like to remove these "benches" and put in a plywood floor, then mount seats on posts, add a livewell, and some other misc. bins. I have absolutely no Idea how or if this is even possible. ANY help at all will be appreciated. Websites would be awesome, or if you've done something like this and don't mind getting a million questioning emails, leave your address! Thanks so much, and tight lines this summer!

Seriously... consider buying a boat closer to what you want. OR... buy an open (empty) boat and build it up. It'll be cheaper in the long run and allow more mods in keeping with your ideas. It makes no sense to un-build a boat only to re-build it.

Hey everyone I have a question I am researching for a friend. Do any of you know and information of where you can purchase boats in Kazakhstan that seat like 20-30 people? Hey everyone. Previously in my post I asked about a Baja R Sun. This boat would completely need everything redone, aside from the alphaone 260/v.8 motor. Everything, seats, flooring, paint, electronics, basically everything.. First of all, who should I call? My local Baja dealer, or a boat specialist? Thanks.

Also, if anyone thinks they could possibly just take a stab at the dark at how much I would be looking at, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I would say if your going to restore the whole thing with new everything, your looking at anywhere from $5k-$10k. Now if you ordered the parts and did it all yourself, you might be looking at maybe $3000 or so. But it is very expensive to redo everything. But it all depends on what needs or you want replaced. I would call a Boat shop, or possibly look into a custom car shop to do the job. Restoring boats isn't that large of a business, so you maybe able to find someone locally or you may have to do it yourself.

Well I had a fun summer and as I'm preparing to put my boat in for winter I realized the cover blew off and the interior is soaked with mud leaves and water. I thoroughly cleaned it with soapy water and even tried vinyl cleaner. While most off the dirt and grime are gone in the cracks or I guess more correctly the grain of the vinyl some dirt is still there and where my cushions butted up next to each other there is a yellow discoloration on my white seats. The boat is an 06 Malibu wakesetter and I really don't want to buy a new interior to get the new interior look again. I have read several posts with conflicting answers. Has anybody encountered this problem and successfully remedied? Thanks for all your help. P.S. Any ideas or products that would be available today at a local store would be wonderfull as the local boat dealer is closed for the holiday! Thanks again.

I can understand your concern, the price tag for new upholstery isnt something to bat an eye at!

If your cushions are white vinyl, what couldnt you use a dilute bleach-water?

Otherwise, I would call a reputable boat-detailer and ask what they would charge to scrub it out or if they have any tips to get the mud stains of the vinyl

I think that this is somewhat purr-verse...dogs drool, cats rule, claws rip, dogs drip, MEOWSA that was awesome- you know how to make 'em take back their words, don't you? Now who is top dog? THE WIDDLE KITTY she is so witty- and at any age will stay "MOST PRETTY' even those who never see her will kill to either possess or BE her... I think I'll go work on a villanelle. SINspiration has commenced.

Thanks, I needed to see that personal interplay shared with the gawkers and gougers of all things cat and/or cougar! I'm rather inclined to shift into feline, and when I hear a caterwaul, I throw my own Jellicle Ball!
