i want to build a seat for my boat and im not really sure what 100% waterproof fabrics there are on the market or would i need to just use waterproofing?

It is for a boat and I am unsure if I can put them in the washing machine as I don't know how the vinyl will react. Any suggestions?

I would use upholstery cleaner like Resolve, Folex, Woolite, Spot shot, etc. on the fabric side working it in with a brush until clean. Then I would use regular 409 or other multi-purpose cleaner on the vinyl side. That is how I clean my patio cushions that are constructed like this after learning that the washer shreds the internal foam in the spin cycle.

Apply colored compound.
Cover with grain paper.

The center vinyl fabric inserts on the seats have a vertical stripe indentation with horizontal indentations within the stripe. I can email a photo.

the best chance would be a hot rod interior/upholstry shop,pick up the phone book and call some local shops

i have a 19 feet 1993 bay liner with some cuts in the fabric in the seats.
Is it possible to get these cuts/holes repaired

just take the seats off and find somebody that does reapolstering
in your area it's usually fairly cheap
