Where is the best place to sell a brand new 90 hp Yamaha boat motor?

Should I do craigslist, ebay, a certain boating site? Where will I get the best price?


Post some notices at the local Marinas... aside from that, I think Ebay is the best choice. (Many people are getting scared off Craigslist, because of all the scams.)
I am a life-long big boater and boat builder, and I am always shopping Ebay for good used boat stuff... Can't really say I ever made a "steal" - but feel I have always benefitted from good deals...
I think they are good at getting a good price for everyone concern - and they seem to do real well at weeding out the bad sellers and bad buyers.

90 hp Yamaha boat motor


Fun Just playing around on the boat on the way in to the house on Anna Maria island

Have a 2005 40 HP Yamaha boat motor. Just had carbs done, now the red oil light is on, stays solid red, why?

No warning buzzer, engine runs great. Water coming out warm to slightly hot intermittently (Not too hot to put your hand in the stream.

Thermostat, oil filter, oil injection line are all ok and functioning properly.

Any ideas why light is on?


There may be a lose wire to that sensor...Things usually accidently get knocked lose...Just check all your wire plugs

the over heating light is on the 30 hp 2stroke YAMAHA boat motor?

How do you fix . The piddler seems to be working and the water is coming out, what eles could it be


I would agree with above. particularly the water pump, they are made to be easily changed

but . . ..... if you have water coming out the piddler hole, that is a baffler.
how warm is water coming out? you should be able to hold your hand in the stream, it is not called a pee hole for nothing.

If it is boiling hot (be careful) then perhpas you are not getting enough water through. Check the intake grate of the water system, it that is clear it might be that the pump is working but not moving enough water to meet the needs of the engine.
You can use compressed air and back blow the system from the piddler hole, if things are plugged wiht a bit of moss or seaweed this may dislodge it.

If the water coming out of the discharge hole is warm but not hot, it may be somehtign as simple as the sensor unit giving the warning light a false indication.

Yamaha boat motor is surging when cranked, what could be the problem? It is a 90.?

I have a 90 horsepower yamaha boat motor that wants to serge when cranked and at full throddle wants to cut off what could be the problem, No warnning sign, one day ran good next it started to act up.


crankcase air leak. or fuel restriction causing lean condition. drain carb, fresh fuel, check again. If it's still doing it I would suspect the air leak.
