Inflatable Boat Motor Mount

I have one of this type and it has buckled and broken under the strain of propelling my boat. This one is supposedly rated for up to 3 hp engines. Does anyone know of a more robust version commercially available that might not disintegrate so easily?

no, the boat is a light duty inflatable, it is not designed for rugged use. while there may be a way to add cross bracing to the motor mount doing so may cause additional chafing to the boats fabric and cause other problems. in reviewing video's of your boat, i find that most are powered by a low thrust electric motor.

my suggestion is to look at heavier duty inflatables made with a transom mounted outboard motor. this type of inflatables are made by zodiac and others and are rated for much higher hp and are much more seaworthy.

this is the actual motor mount that is compatible with my boat.
but i do not want to spend the money for it.

any ideas on how to build one? cant be that hard right?

for $60 its worth it....I tried to make one for my Intex and it after I got about $50 into it, I needed another part, for that price I could have saved $50 and a whole lot of time and just bough the ready made one from ebay, which I ended up doing and it was only $39, check there or other places for a less expensive one.
