I'd say 75 to 115 HP, depending on what your wanting to do with it. The boat will be rated for a max HP though.
I rebuilt the lower unit including all seals and water pump impeller. Not For Sale!
electric motors list power as pounds of thrust. gas motors list power in terms of horsepower. I'd like to know how they compare.
There is a formula that converts watts to HP but generally you can use 15 lbs of thrust being equal to 1 HP.

I have an Evenrude boat motor and I need to find out what year motor is is and how many horse power it is.The motor has been painted and the only numbers I can find on it say starboard 329910.If these are the serial numbers can someone tell me what year and horse power this boat motor is Id appreciate it.
