Tobago main source is tourism and taking the tourist to the Buccoo Reef in the glass bottom boat is part of showing them parts of Tobago, The boats here have outboard engines. Parts are very hard to come by and it's not always at your finget tips when something goes wrong with the engine. I need good information like contact person and number preferrable from yamaha. Information that will help me start up that business. Thank you

Can someone share with me what is expected when you rebuild a marine ford 351 engine? what parts should be replaced and or rebuild?
I have a Ford 351 marine engine, ski nautique, with 1200 hours on it and I had the engine rebuild? It cost me $6000.00? The boat has ran horrible since the rebuild? Never saw a receipt of break down of cost? I continue to spend money as the CARB was bad, RPM is only hitting 36?
PLEASE HELP DEFINE WHAT I SHOULD OF GOT FOR THIS REBUILD?

The first thing you should have got was a detail work order and parts list. Wide variety of what might have been replaced or repaired and reinstalled.

What did the mechanic say when you described the symptoms?

What's the compression on the motor now?

BTW, you can tell your mechanic that I said only a fool would install a dirty carb on a freshly rebuilt engine.

So far the survey completed notes that in the sea trial the boat's engine's cylinder head was running 185 degrees. That's the only problem with it, besides the age of the boat of course. I'm concerned the owner is selling the boat because the parts for the Atomic Four engine aren't available anymore. Please let me know if the 185 degree problem is a deal-killer and if you know the availability of engine parts for a '79 Atomic Four.

I can not speak to the 185 degree head temp. Could be the thermostat. My Atomic 4 is a 1978 and running beautifully.

i have alot of knowledge in motors i just need the cheapest and easiest way because i just want a simple homemade rc boat
