Force Boat Engine

I'm trying to find decals for a 1995 40hp Force by Mercury boat engine. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks!

Take off and then full throttle of my 1986 Force 125 hp boat motor

These are 2 stroke engines. The oil is mixed with the gas at a ratio of 50 gas to 1 oil. The lower unit has 2 screws on the side, the one under the prop shaft housing is used to drain and refill the fluid. The one several inches above the prop shaft is the vent. It must be removed to drain the fluid and when refilling, pump fluid into the lower hole until it comes out the top vent hole. Replace the top vent screw first then remove the fill tube and replace the bottom screw quickly. Make sure there are plastic or fiber washers on both screws.

I've never really been a boat owner, other than some '60's fiberglass derelict at one time, with no title. Anyway, looking at a friend's boat that could have either a Force or Mercruiser engine. Which is better, has less problems, etc.? Probably late '80's or very early '90's engine. I don't know much about the Force, I'd never heard of it before yesterday, I've heard of many other brands, but that one is new to me. Ease of repair, parts locating, etc. advice sought for both Force or Mercruiser in Bayliner Capri.

Force engine company was taken over by Merc years ago. They do not have a good reputation on the water, and I don't believe that they are still produced making it tougher to get parts etc. Merc on the other hand has been around a long time and will be around much longer. They make a good engine and parts are available all over. Go with Merc.

I dont know a thing about boats or engines, and i am suppose to find a picture and/ or info. about 125 engine/ force. our boat is a VIP Boat. Help please, i dont know wher to look and havent had any luck.

Also was it made by US Marine or Brunswick?
