caterpillar engine power?

I just bought myself a boat equipped with Twin Caterpillar Engines. supposedly 3306. Max of 460hp. i am convinced that 1 engine can hit that while the other seems to fall short. Got advice that it maybe due to the fuel pump. will it affect that much and anything to tune it further for more ponnies?


Sure. You need to have a technician set the pumps. He can get both engines to perform the same. Easy to do.

What gas Mileage does this get? Tons of points to the best one!?

What gas mileage does this get? 1000hp 3412 Caterpillar diesel engine. It is a 92 foot boat.


There is no gas mileage diesel fuel in Gal per hour as what RPM and load is being turned.That large of yacht is not measured in MPG.

caterpillar diesels?

need answer on 3116 cats. in process of buying boat w/ 3116`s and am curious as to the chances that these engines (which are faps ) have the infamous soft blocks. they are 1999 engines installed in 2000 30 ft. albemarle.


Problems that would have arisen from them would have surfaced by now, but you may want to have a mechanic run the serial numbers through catapillar. They can tell you if they are in the group of soft blocks
