Top Camper

I'm considering purchasing a camper for my Chevy s10 truck. The camper top is from 1992 and would need maybe some wall paper,carpet,etc. I do think I could save alot of money this way instead of renting. I mean it has a bed, mini kitchen area, and bath so it has everything an apartment has, but I would own this instead of having to pay $700 a month for an apartment. What do you think.

I don't think many people could tolerate the confinement. You also must have a safe place to park each night.

A pop-up camper at a facility with power, water, sewer, and internet access would be much more convenient and safer. Not as cheap as truck camper but solves most of the issues you will face with a truck camper.

While raising the hard top of our Dutchman popup camper we forgot to open the one tie down and started cranking the top up. When it got to a certain point, the cable for the corner that we forgot to open made a loud pop. The cable that makes that corner go up broke. How do you go about fixing this problem. Does anyone have a schematic for repair?

Oh dear, that's a problem that I don't even think duct tape will fix. The only thing I can suggest is that you go to a camper repair place and have the cable replaced.

Are you referring to the beautiful but seldom seen 'Camperdown' Elm? It doesn't have a long life and is touchy to soil, sun, Elm disease etc.

I have seen only two of them in a long time of being in the landscape business. Worth the try if your intended landscape has not had an Elm living in it that had to be cut down from Elm disease. The Camperdown will not survive. It really is touchy to problems.

The branches fall to the ground from the top of the tree showing a beautiful dramatic winter structure. Trim the branches up 6 or 8" so that they are not actually hanging on the ground. Helps keep them away from soil born fungus.

Common Name: Camperdown Elm.
Botanical: Ulmus glabra var.'Camperdownii.

I have a Century truck cap that came off of a '94 Mazda B4000 pickup. We bought the pickup after it had been vandalized, and all the cap windows but the front were smashed. Century does not sell parts or anything directly to the public, they only go through their dealers; I called my local dealer and they basically hinted that it would cost a LOT to get the replacement glass for the 4 side windows and rear window, plus I'd have to drag the thing down there so they could look at it and get all the info, and pay them BEFORE I receive any parts, AND they might not even be able to get the glass for it because Century recently changed glass companies and the cap is not new. It sounds like a huge hassle to me, so I'd like to look for new glass elsewhere. Any suggestions on where I could find new glass for this? Would junkyard or pull-a-part be a good place to look, or would they be unlikely to have trucks with caps still on?
It's not a Leer, why would I call them?
Someone told me that glass companies can't cut curves in glass?? That seems ludicrous since most car windows are curved, but I dunno. All the glass is flat, would it be cheaper to go to a non-automotive glass company?

make cardboard templates for the exact glass size and shape that you need. take them to your local glass repair shop, or even auto glass repair shop. they can order tempered safety glass to fit your patterns, or ask if they can cut laminated glass to fit your patterns. the laminated glass might be a little cheaper than the tempered. if you can't make your own patterns, maybe the glass shop will do it for you, but you'll save some money if you make your own.

go to your local dollar tree or dollar general and get the product called la's totally awesome cleaner it is a miracle cleaner has easy to understand directions just as well
