Ski Boat Cover

I am looking for a protective cover for my MasterCraft ski boat. Something that will protect it from sun, rain, etc. It will be stored outdoors so the more water repellent the better. Can anyone help?

You can get one at the website below. They have stock and custom covers that would fit your boat. If you want the best fit possible, you will want to measure your boat and get a custom, nearly waterproof cover, but keep in mind that they are more pricey than stock covers. Either way you go, you should be able to find exactly what you are looking for at Mighty Covers.

We just screwed it into the spot it is suppose to be screwed into. Have we missed additional pieces or something? The boat is a 1997 Bayliner 1854 Ski/Fish Boat. Whole engine cover came flying off and ripped off the boat.

Skiing puts an enormous amount of pull on that pylon, they have to be backed up with something.

Don't know about your specific pylon, but the ones that I have seen rip out were either placed into a rotten deck or were not adequately backed up with a plate or the largest washers possible. On my boat the bolts, not screws, from the pylon go all the way thru the hull and are backed up by washers and nuts. When I bought the boat I put in the largest washers that would fit and then double nuts to prevent them from coming off.

Shoot us a photo of your pylon and maybe we can suggest reinstall to your boat.

To everybody: now you know why we NEVER sit passengers/observers behind the pylon. They can cut loose, and do serious bodily harm.

You can get a custom or stock boat cover from a company called Mighty Covers. They have a variety of materials and different degrees of protection available. I am sure that they can get you exactly what you are looking for.

I know you can take the classes when you're 14, but im wondering if the classes are for boats, or it covers jet skiing too. I don't want to take to separate classes, but i will if i have to. Thank you if you did answer!!!

the boating license course will cover all types of boats including PWC's since you are 14 you will be able to operate your PWC once you pass the test and get your boaters safety certificate.

I have a wooden ski hole cover a wood glove box and wood on my swim platform. All the wood looks faded. I want to stain it and use some type of protective sealant. Should i just use regular stain and like thompsons water seal or is there something special i should use because its a boat?

It is probably Teak. It will need to be cleaned. At that point you can use a polyurethane and it will look like a million bucks. Mine does. If it is not teak find out what it is. No matter what it will need to be cleaned with some chemicals before being sealed.
