When I turn the key to "start" the boat starts(engine turns over with spark, fuel, etc.) , but the moment I return the key to second position (run) the boat stalls.
I've checked the fuel water separator and everything is fine, what could this be?
It could be as simple as corrosion on the contact inside the ignition switch. To check this you will need to disconnect the switch and check for continuity between the points in the various positions. If the boat has been on the water a lot and is 13 years old then this is most likely the problem.

My husband's been wanting to rename our boat. It is a Mariah Diablo. Ski Boat. White with black and blue stipes. We want a unique name. No foreign names, and something pretty smart. We asked friends but nothing cool has come up! please help
How about "The Office". Then when someone asks you can honestly say you (or your hubbie) will be at "The Office".
Same for Study Hall if they are in school.
Or "The Shop" if that is appropriate as well.
Looking to get a 18'-19' ski boat and don't want to break the bank. Any suggestions

I am new to boating and just need some simple answers.
How fast do you pull:
Skier, Wakeborder, tuber, etc....
I understand hole shots for skiers etc, but what is the top speeds you would want to pull someone at?
The boat will do 52 but I really don't think I would want to go that fast in a tube or on skis....
Boat is a 1995 Mariah Shaba Z212, fresh 5.7L V8 19 pitch prop, used in colorado...
for skiing generally between 20-25 mph if a pair of skis, slower for children. for slalom 28-36 depending on the skier ability.
for tubing 30-35
wake boarding 14-18 for children 18-23 for adults depending on weight and rider ability and rope length. you have to dial the speed for each person to give them the best wake.
for wake skating 16-20. again, you want to shape your wake with speed and weight and rider ability and rope length.
to dial the speed for wake sports just get your desired rope length, distribute the people in the boat to balance the weight side to side. then play with the speed and try to get rid of any white wash at the riders point at the wake. you can also play with adding weight mid boat rather than all in the stern. practice and you'll figure it out.
for skiing after you get the skier up just use the the thumb up or down signal to get the skier comfortable. don't let them sink but don't fling em around. slalom for course skiing is 28-36 depending on what level the skier is at skiing the course.
1998 Mariah 214 Jubilee for Sale in Florida - Boats Florida
Mariah puts a little extra "panache" in every boat they build. Little things that may not make huge changes in you life, but make your time on the water just a little more relaxing.
Things like three egress doors, ski tow ring, extra long boarding ladder, cockpit lighting, fresh water sink, enclosed head, tons of storage, hand holds in all the right places and much more.
This Mariah is in great shape with very few nicks like you would expect from a 98. She has been well cared for and enjoyed by her current owner.
The Mercruiser 5.0 has a few hours on her, but these little V-8s are know for a long life. The 5.0 is a fuel miser too, which make trips to the fuel dock a little less painful.
