1991 Hurricane 21’ Deck Boat FD206, good condition meaning it has wear & tear but nothing major. Deck is good, upholstery is a little faded/dirty, no rips but has a few split seams. Bimini top, new mooring cover. No accessories (life vests, anchor, fire ext., etc).
1992 Force 100 hp ELPTO 4cyl, 2stk, elec. start/tilt motor. Number of hours is unknown
1991 Shoreland’r dual axel trailer. Some rust/wear/tear but otherwise good cond.
NADA books it between $4895 - $5320. Dealer asking $5999.00. I know it’s tough without seeing it, but what would you offer?
Also, dealer is offering 1 year warranty, but dealer is 2 hrs from my home. Since I don't see myself driving two hours to get it fixed would you offer to buy it without the warranty in order to get a lower price? Keep in mind everything here is 18 yrs old.
hi ... the boat isnt underpowered its right size for the boat. The problem is that it has a 1992 force motor. They are no longer made and parts are no longer made for the engine. Thats my concern. You will have to look at ebay for used parts. Or find the old Mercury parts equivalent and thats not easy.
If you look around you can get a good deal on a boat If you have $6000 or there abouts to offer.
It is 18 years old you could look on ebay and sneak a deal locally or within 1 hundred miles.
Look at the web pages for the local boat sellers in your area they always have used boats for sale. FOr example in Crysal river Fl I saw a pontoon boat ( if a deak kind of boat is what you want) with Mercury 90hp for $5000, there wa a 18ft bay boat with a Johnson for the same price.
My fear for you would be getting a boat with a motor that is difficult to maintian aand find parts for.

Problem: A $250,000.00 House & Land, 2 cars at $85,000.00 combined, a $40,000.00 boat, a $25,000.00 camping trailer, a $15,000.00 motorcycle, $25,000.00 in furniture, and an additional $60,000.00 in various goods and products , for a total of : $500,000.00 in total listed losses from a tornado/hurricane wiping out my real estate property.
What percentage of the property is covered by disaster insurance, generally?
The cars and motorcycle should be covered under their own policies. Depending on the type of boat and trailer, same with them. (If it is a small boat, under $40k, it might have coverage).
What will be covered for your house depends on your policy. If the replacement cost of your house is $250k, and you have $250k of coverage, it will be replaced completely, less your deductible. Most home policies have coverage for personal property (not counting vehicles and large boats) of 50% of the value of your home. In this case, up to $125k. This seems to be enough to cover your personal stuff.
You need to try to remember what company insured your house and vehicles, and give them a call. Hopefully you were insured up to the value of your house. If this is the case, you are ok. If you had a house worth $250k but only had $125 worth of coverage, you would only receive 50% of your damages (since you were only 50% insured).
Good luck.

The song "Great Waves" by the Dirty Three featuring Cat Powers. These are the lyrics. I personally thought it was the end of the world. Others said Hurricane Katrina.
Last boat, stand in a river;
Muddy river, how I love her
Hawk flying is fooling his folly
Gas hurricanes spray over Heaven
Weeping willow is bawling the light
On fire.
Humans running for cover,
Wishing for life, gripping the light
House lift up, trees lift up
Cars intersect in the middle of the sky.
O time before, no pull, no gravity on the ground
Givin' up--it's over
The world's weight is over
The limit
Our bodies are exploding
As the sky spills through our mouths.
All the blue blood is flowing
The cities, its contents have been ripped out.
The world is gone.
Did you know it would last this long?
You made it to the dark, now you're gone.
You are gone.
Great waves
Frozen in a secret space
A great big place,
Dark-spilling universe.
Last boat, stand in the river.

McKinney Accuses Government of Slaughtering Prisoners, Dumping Bodies During Katrina
WASHINGTON: Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney claims the Department of Defense executed 5,000 prisoners with one bullet to the head and then dumped their bodies in a Louisiana swamp during Hurricane Katrina.
Thursday, October 02, 2008
Green Party presidential candidate [and former Democratic Representative] Cynthia McKinney, known for her provocative statements when she was a congresswoman from Georgia, accused the Department of Defense this week of using Hurricane Katrina to cover up the slaughter of 5,000 prisoners.
At a news conference in Oakland, Calif., on Sunday, McKinney claimed the Pentagon authorized the execution of the prisoners with one bullet to the head three years ago and then dumped their bodies in a Louisiana swamp.
McKinney said she heard the story from the mother of a National Guard soldier who said her son was assigned to help dispose of the bodies.
"And these were mostly males and her son was afraid to talk because he had signed a silence agreement," McKinney told the crowd. "So he only complained to his mother. But the data was entered into a Pentagon computer."
McKinney said she verified the story from "insiders" who wanted to remain anonymous.
"I suspect that these are prisoners. ... So this investigation of the whole prison industrial complex is extremely important and it should not end with just a question of the nature of prisons in our country," she said to a captivated audience. "These 5,000 souls also need some justice too."
A Defense Department spokesman dismissed McKinney's accusation.
"The claim is outrageous on the very face of it and doesn't merit any further consideration," said Lt. Col. Les' Melnyk. "It would be inconceivable that 5,000 people would go missing in America without anyone noticing it prior to this."
Psychologists and psychology professors contacted by FOXNews.com wouldn't comment on McKinney's mental condition, but they expressed shock at her assertion.
"Wow! What a conspiracy theory," one professor exclaimed before declining comment and hanging up the phone.
Dr. Celia Ward, a clinical psychologist in Washington, D.C., said she wouldn't speculate on McKinney's state of mind because McKinney heard the story from someone else.
"This sounds like a game of telephone," Ward said, explaining how a rumor can change as it passes from one person to another. "But to take something that has so many questions attached to it and to treat a rumor as fact is the basis for mass distortion. It's really a good example of Swift-boating."
Ward said McKinney could have easily verified the story by checking prison records.
"This is the kind of rumor that warrants fact-checking," she said.
McKinney's presidential campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
A member of the House for 12 years until 2007, McKinney is no stranger to controversy. Shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, she suggested that President Bush knew about the plot in advance but failed to warn Americans because of his father's business interests. Some political analysts say that statement contributed to her defeat in 2002.
After McKinney was re-elected in 2004, she tried to impeach Bush, Vice President Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on charges that they lied and manipulated intelligence to justify the war in Iraq.
McKinney hit a career low point in 2006 when she was accused of striking a Capitol Police officer who grabbed her after she passed a security checkpoint without wearing a congressional lapel pin. She later apologized for the incident. She was defeated in a Democratic primary later that year and left the Democratic Party in 2007. She was nominated in July to run for president on the Green Party ticket. There are 245 other Green Party candidates running for office this fall.

Noah:
Are you vacationing in Egypt? You seem to be deep in denial.
Yes! The Liberal Democrats have proved that they will do anything to get what they want. They proved that in 2004, and caused the Banking Crisis of 2008. See Source below.
I have a set of Magnalite pots that went through Hurricane Katrina. After the storm we managed to find them in what was left of our house but they are cover in what I always heard referred to as electrolysis. I've seen it on boat hulls before but never on cookware. Is it possible to remove it from m pots? If so how do I got about getting it off? Is it safe to cook in them if I can remove it? I'd really like to save them.
You are almost certainly correct in assuming that your pots have been subject to galvanic corrosion. If you have heard of it being referred to as electrolysis you have been mis-informed. Electrolysis is the reduction of chemical compounds to their elemental components by the action of an electric current, or more commonly these days, a technique for the removal of unwanted body hair, so is not a correct description of what your pots have suffered. Galvanic corrosion is always possible if the item is in contact with or closely adjacent to a dissimilar metal, the less 'Noble' of the two will usually experience the most corrosion. If your 'Magnalite' pots were close to stainless steel pots or even items of cutlery while in sea-water it is not surprising that the aluminium experienced surface corrosion. Aluminium is very easily oxidised in the presence of air or water and this layer of aluminium oxide is what normally prevents further attack. I suspect that you may have a white or pale lemon coloured efflorescence on your pots. If you clean it off mechanically with a pot scourer or similar and polish the surface well, your pots should be as good as new. A new surface of aluminium oxide will quickly develop and your problem is solved. If however the surfaces is deeply pitted they may be beyond redemption as the pits will comprise a focus for further corrosion.
Having said all of this, this is after all a boating site. If you re-address your question to the 'mathematics & science' > chemistry site you will probably get a more informative answer.
I hope this helps.
