Custom Ski Boat

I am looking into getting a ski boat, but I want the type that is really "glittery", metallic, or shiny (not sure of the term).

Is there a certain manufacturer that makes these type of boats, or is it just a custom paint job? Thanks!

The glittery you mean is called metal flake. These "metal flake" colors were used on many boats, especially in the 70s to mid 80s on Glastron Carlson boats (i have one) and on probably other brands also,
The flakes (small pices of foil) where added to the gelcote in the molding proces of the hull or deck. Some company's spray flake gelcoats or paint.

I doubt if you will get any interest here since I don't even know what state your in and without a PRICE - your ad is worthless!

A 18 foot boat is HARDLY a "ski boat" and 180 horses is very minimal. Whats with the "new engine"? And generally when a boat has a new engine, I would STAY FAR AWAY FROM IT. Most of the time, something else ill go wrong and the aftermarket engines and the shade tree mechanics that install them never seem to get it right..

You better have a GOOD PRICE for what your trying to sell and this monkey business your trying to pull here is not getting it!

You have to DEFINE what a "good price" is. When I sold my boat I mentioned it was "xxx dollars below Kelly Blue Book." ANd you have to tgell them the YEAR!!! Don't think people ready to buy a ski boat are dumb. We all know that Kelly is a starting point and you need to say if you are above or below them.

Hello, basically, i have always loved jet skis since i was very young, now i am 19 and i decided to take one to my home country in north africa, i contacted Algerian customs and the problem is that, my country is not part of the international water sport trade organization and as a result, they tax huge amounts on water sports materials (jet skis, boats etc..) the amount they tax you is 3 times the price of the jet ski. Because these materials are known as 'Luxury materials'.

My jet ski is a solo type jet ski, so it's small, so a friend of mine told me to divide it into 5 or 6 parts and than send it to my country as a luggage using those transit companies.
I know that what i am doing is bad, but what i am supposed to do, algerian customs are crazy, 3 TIMES the price of the jet ski. Unbelievable.

So what do you think, will it work????, what are the risks? is there any other way to take it legally???

Yea, fooling customs like that is against the law. It's quite tempting, but even as parts, it would no doubt raise suspicion and open you up for possible fines or even jail time!

I've had folks from various countries try to get me to do similar things with vintage radio equipment I sometimes sell on ebay. For me in the US that would have caused lots of problems, as well as problems for the persons receiving the things.

Defrauding customs is a government level offense, please don't do it. Temptation is very powerful and can over ride good sense, but don't let it. Every now and again Customs probably takes someone aside to show as an example - please don't be that person.

i'm 18 years old and just finished high school this past year i work for a custom harvesting company that travels the midwest and harvests peoples crops, so im only home once in a while and for maybe a week, i have 5 younger brothers and want to spend time with each of them maybe like a day for each or somthing but what is there to do with them (they are 4,7,9,12,14,) any one got any ideas? we have a cabin on a lake and a boat and jet skis any ideas would be greatly apreciated

Well, you can take them to the cabin and spend a couple of days there. But I don't think your brothers would really mind where you take them, even invite them over at the pizza place, or to the movies, just have fun! :]
