the water that skiers get in the boat as well as the water that gets in the boat when I wash it, does not drain very well. There is a drain in front of the rear lounge seat, but it drains very slowly.
You should be able to see where the drain comes out "above the water line. It's a Delron fitting. Use a waterhose and "Back flush" this line. The Water will squirt inside the boat, but will run right back out. Try to catch any trash before it goes back down the drain. Good Luck!

I have patched all holes and sanded it down with 100 and 150 grit sandpaper. I don't prefer to paint if I can get the hard surface back... Also, Can I jst add pigment to polyester resin and make my own? What product names?
Now go over it with 220,then 440. The smoother the surface the flatter the gelcoat will lay.You can buy different colors of gelcoat.Go to B.O.W. or west marine. And make sure you follow the directions!!!And no you cant add color to the resin. It will still be just exsposed resin. If your going to brush it on make sure you use vertical strokes.Good luck

what do they call the cockpit on a boat? I need to know for a book I'm writing
Depends on the size or type of boat. A small boat, especially a sailboat, has a cockpit. It's usually where the boat is steered from, its floor is below the level of the deck, it's usually near the stern of the boat and open to the weather. In a larger boat, up to and including a freighter, the equivalent is the bridge. This is also where the boat is steered from, but it's more likely to be near the centre of the boat('amidships' in nautical terms), its floor will probably be above the level of the deck and it will be enclosed in some way.

My boat has compartment and the berths and cockpit which are filled with what appears to be PUR foam. By what ever reason this foam is all soaking wet. If I take all of the foam out in order to dry the boat, can I leave the boat without this foam or do I have to refoam it as it was before?
This question takes a bit of knowledge and a bit of understanding. Can I say that closed cell urethane foam, would not be wet. But PUR foam which is not closed cell can get soggy. This would without question add weight to the boat. Remove it. Secondly. every sailboat I've been on used a keel/centerboard to keep it reasonably upright in the water. Some small "board" style sailboats can take a knockdown without sinking, because of the design of the boat. But, you could fill most sailboats completely full and they would still sink, Why? they can't overcome the weight of the ballast in the boat. Read up on rigid, polyurethane foam floatation. Which is often used as a void filler. If you refill the spaces, use the rigid polyurethane only.
A few of their fighters have a bent look on the front of them. Anyone know the reasons for this and benefits? Crazy question, does an aircraft actually fly straight or is it kind of tilted upwards when flying because it is riding air like a boat rides on water. Do you get what I am trying to say? That would explain to me why the arcraft is tilted in the front so the pilot has a better view and picture of what is it front of him.
Why hasnt any other aircraft manufacturer designed this into their aircraft?
The angle of the nose reflects the expected air flow around the aircraft. In high-speed, high-performance aircraft, small details of air flow are important. The slightly angled nose isn't unique to the Su-30; it has been quite common on transonic and supersonic-capable fighter aircraft for decades. Even the old F-4 Phantom had a slightly drooped nose.
Look at various high-speed and supersonic aircraft and you'll see lots of things that look a bit counter-intuitive. For example, the SR-71 has a chine—a sharp horizontal ridge—that runs around most of the aircraft, and it's not immediately obvious why. The Skunk Works design team discovered through experimentation that a chine improved lift and performance at supersonic speeds, so there it is.

Cockpit Conversation: I'm on a Boat
We're up early the next morning to load ourselves into a tuk-tuk convoy for the waterfront. The dock turns out to be right beside the Titanic restaurant, still lovely in daylight. We've bought our tickets in advance, so one member of the group just hands them out to us to present at the top of the gangplank. In exchange for my ticket stub I'm given a bag containing a bottle of water and a small baguette. There's a very attractive looking boat at the dock, like one of the Bateaux Mouches that take tourists along the Seine through Paris, but maybe a bit taller. That is not our boat. Ours is smaller, a low-to-the-water craft, basically a floating bus, with four across seating, two on each side of a narrow aisle. Our tickets have seat assignments and I'm in 8A. I didn't count the rows: there are maybe sixty to a hundred seats altogether. The roof curves overhead. It's a lot like being on a narrowbody aircraft, and it wasn't just me who thought that, because someone across the aisle from me starts mimicking an airline passenger briefing. It's about this point that we realize that in addition to no oxygen masks to drop down from the overhead compartment, the boat has only two exits, both at the front on either side, right behind the cockpit, and as far as we can tell there are no life jackets or other flotation devices anywhere on the boat.

The master-cabin forward is a great idea, as it is a far quieter area when the boat is stern to or on a mooring. It is also away from the noise of the cockpit under sail. After some optimisation Emma (Swan 60) is now a really competitive boat,
