Bottom Boat Cover

Just pulled my boat out of a fresh water lake. The bottom is covered with green slime that is very hard to get off. What is the best thing to use on it ?????

Spray on Clorox or a generic substitute. Let it set 30 minutes and hose off. More difficult spots may be cleaned with a combination of Clorox and a stiff scrub brush.. After cleaning, paint with a good anti fouling paint.

Do you mean an air cushion boat, hovercraft type boat? or are talking about the big propeller, looks like a huge fan, driven boats they use in the Everglades?

wanting to paint top and inside of boat yellow, with the bottom being painted white as well. I have some fiberglassing and smothing out scratches to do first. can i brush paint and get a smooth slick look or does it need to be sprayed. does a clear coat need applied? all help and info will be appreciated. thanks

It will take nearly 1 gal. for the bottom and near as much for the top. I would recommend a polymer coating, (about $50 per gal.), and definitely spray. Prep all areas and sand with 400 or 600 grit. End result will look like new.

read this to see the the rest of the question cuz it wont fit. A 10 foot rope ladder hangs over the side of a boat with the bottom rung on the surface of the water. The rungs are one foot apart, and the tide goes up at the rate of 6 inches per hour. How long will it be until three rungs are covered?

Never. The ladder goes up and down with the tide attached to the boat.
