where can i get seat covers or get seats redone in ms or al at a good price for a 1997 seadoo challenger jet boat 15'. or does anyone do them.
Look for a boat canvas shop or a upholstrey shop of any kind in your area, call a few to find the best price. If you or anyone you know has a good sewing machine then you or they can just make new ones from the pattern of they old ones. It's not very difficult if you can use a machine. Good luck.
This video shows how to repair / replace the seat covers (skins) on a Nitro bass boat, but the process should be similar on other bass boat seats.
I just bought an older ranger boat, and the seat covers are shot- the foam is in good shape though, is there anywhere i can buy the covers presewn and intstall them myself?

I just can’t seem to stretch the covers over the foam, how do the professionals do it? Anyone know the trade secrete?
The vaccum thing is good, if it is collapsible, but for closed cell foam, you need to just bend the foam in half to slip it into the sleeve.
If this is something you do regularly, you might want to slip the foam into sleeves before they finish drying fully. Boat cushions shouldnt have much of a problem with mildewing, so you wont have stink to worry about by not completely drying the sleeves. You can let the cushions finish drying in the sun.

I had a cover on a boat and the seats grew a mold that never came off the seats and steering wheel. Cover with a cover that breathes or just leave it?
The boat is stored in Florida. Canvas sweats from the inside in Florida. Even fans can't stop the sweating. The mold didn't even clean up with bleach. It left purple spots that etched the plastic seats, steering wheel, and even the rubber fender/bumpers.

I just wanted to run this by someone that knows more than me about ts. I currently own a Bass Tracker PT 170 with a 4 stroke 25hp and power trim. Not a bad boat at all, just slow as hell.
I am looking at a Nitro nx882 dc 2005 with a Mercury Optimax 150 XL with 77 hours. Price listed was $15,000, I talked him down to $13,000.
I owe more than what my current boat is worth, so I have to factor in another $1,000 to make up for it, so it’s now $14,000.
The boat is in excellent condition, definitely garage kept.
That is really low hours for a 3 yr old motor, are you sure about that? If so, I would suggest you take it to a dealer and have the engine scanned for hidden faults, ($50-75, some places still free) and if all is OK, that’s a very nice price.
