Boat Searay

I need to replace curtains in the salon (living room) of our used boat. The side windows go down to a point, sort of a triangle shape, but they need to be "full" or pleated. I'm not sure how to measure for that because of the shape.

are you making the curtains yourself?
then spotlight or some fabric store

otherwise you should be able to find companies on the internet
i know of a place called sheets ahoy in sydney & queensland (australia) but i don't know if they do curtains

you could also contact a sea ray dealer because any bets they could arrange for cutains for you

i know someone who bought a second hand fairline and needed an extra bimini so they just contacted a fairline dealer and its all been organised (even though the boat is not a current model)

what makes the speedometer work on a 1974 srv 200 boat?

It works on water pressure, on the back of the boat is the pick up (pitot) with the rubber hose attached to the speedometer, as the speed increases also the pressure increases making the needle in the gauge to move.

90 searay boat that has i/o bore engine 4.3 lit. with weight even or all on the drivers of the boat it leans to the left. it seems to lean more with more people in it. i talked to some people and they don't know what it could be.

The only thing that comes to my mind is the Flotation on one side is water logged, or full of water check the bottom for small Crack,s or small holes,if no holes ar cracks are evedent then the floor could be seperated at the sides or the floor could be seperated at a saem.
under the Carpet is Plywood covered with Fiberglass, this fiberglass could have cracks in it allowing water to flo through and filling the Flotation Pockets with water.

I don't know is stainless good or should I go aluminium,composite?Love to hear from ya.
does anyone here run a composite prop

I have a composite prop and it feels like it bends under load. Also , they can't be cupped so i had to trim the motor way in and slow down just to make a turn. I bought a cheap Hustler aluminium to replace it and it performs brilliantly. They're already cupped so you can trim your motor out and make nice tight turns without any cavitation. I only bothered with a stainless steel prop for my racing boat (26" chopper ) , for normal use , you won't notice the difference in performance and it'd take years to make up the price difference in fuel savings.

its in good condition and runs like a top. don't know how many hours on the 305 chevy inboard.
