Bimini Canvas

I bought a project boat with a very soiled canvas/vinyl bimini top. Will letting it soak in the washing machine in cold water with detergent and bleach work to clean it?

Only use a small amount of bleach. I knew a lady that soaked a canvas patio umbrella in bleach and it made the fabric literally fall apart. I would try a solution of borax and laundry detergent OR if you have granulated dishwasher soap that gets out lots of hard to remove stains (phosphates in the dish soap work wonders). Soak it in a large tub of water and soap and use a stiff bristled brush on stains. Also set it outside and the sun might bleach out any mildew stains or dirt.

We are moving to California to start a canvas shop dealing with boats, bimini tops, etc on the Colorado river. We don't really know where to start as to getting this loan...

I have a Wellcraft 180 Fisherman and I'm purchasing a Davis Echomaster Radar Reflector. Where would I mount this on the 180?

The only railing on the boat is above the windshield. Would that work or would the canvas Bimini Top interfere with the reflector?

The best place is the highest point which is visible for a full 360 degrees. The object is that the reflector be SEEN by radar from anywhere from the furthest distance. Any other place other than the highest point visible for 360 degrees will degrade performance.

I am looking for square aluminum tubing bows for my top on my fish rite jet boat. the tubing it came with was weak and didn't hold up. the canvas is fine so i don't need it. i am looking for any and all sites dealing with these types of all weather tops. but not bimini tops or boat covers. this top has three sides, windows and a door. thanks. t

you'll probably have to get those fabricated. if you find the manufacturer you'll find they sell only to dealerships and the cost is astronomical.
