Aluminum Boat Cover

I have been given a 6" by 9" piece of aluminum foil. It's just the regular kind you get to cover your food. I have been asked to design a boat (with my hands and scissors... no tape) that can float on water (it's alright if some of the boat is under) that can hold the most amount of golf balls. I've come up with many basic ideas (squares, rectangles...) but I'm looking to beat the record of 43 golf balls. So I just don't think squares and rectangles will cut. I've hear that a "cup" like shape can hold pretty well, but do any of you know exactly what kind of cup shape? And if you have a shape you think will hold... why does it? Any additional websites where I could research this? I have till the end of today. Thanks!

wait a minute. a 6"x9" piece of tinfoil holding 43 golf balls? I would doubt it would float more than one.

I am painting my aluminum boat for duck hunting and didn't know if I could paint my motor cover also or if I had to leave it so that the horsepower was factory displayed on both sides and the back. thanks for the help.

I could not find any information stating you could not paint your motor.

If they need to check the hp they can check the serial number.

Any ideas? It's due January 6 because I'm on winter break. But i want to get it over with. I need something that I can make really fast. The bottom has to be made of metal too. My science teacher said it could be just covered in aluminum foil if i wanted.

if you have access to any metal even recyclable cans, those will work, if possible use medium or large can and cut with tin snips down the middle half and half, this will hold pennies and float,

you could design pieces and fold and solder together to make look like real boat and seal leaks and paint, add sail or electric motor, the main idea is for it to float and hold a certain amount of weight, as well stay bottom heavy so not to tip over, you can add rigger wings or rudder fins at bottom,

of clean up and detailing, my main concern is the Aluminum on the Motor (intake Manifold, Valve covers and Aluminum Exhaust Manifolds) they need allot of work and I don't want to take off these parts to clean or Buff My ass off to clean them up. Is there some kind of chemical or something I can use to clean these parts up that's not to much trouble? Preferably clean and shine at the same time.

Mother's Mag Polish works wonders on aluminum.

I am looking for square aluminum tubing bows for my top on my fish rite jet boat. the tubing it came with was weak and didn't hold up. the canvas is fine so i don't need it. i am looking for any and all sites dealing with these types of all weather tops. but not bimini tops or boat covers. this top has three sides, windows and a door. thanks. t

you'll probably have to get those fabricated. if you find the manufacturer you'll find they sell only to dealerships and the cost is astronomical.
