200 Overnighter

my wife and i went away for an overnighter and came back home to find our 1 year old lab poisened and almost dead, i phoned the rcmp and told them our dog had been poisened and need to know what they could do, they said they could do nothing unless a vet verifies the poisen, they gave me an emergency vet number so i called and explained the situation that my dog was dying and need emergency help the insensitive jerk told me that i needed 3-400 bucks up front or he wouldn't do anything, i said i didn't have the money on hand it was 1100 p.m at night and that i couldn't have the money until morning he said wait until morning and get the money and bring him in, i said he's not gonna make it through the night i need help now the jerk said oh well. My dog died in my arms at 5:00 a.m my family along with my 2 year old son are completely devastated. I called the vet in the morning at told him my dog died and he said and I quote "oh,ok well we can offer you a cremation package for 40 bucks which means he would just be thrown in with the other animals and discarded or i could pay him 200 and get the ashes back.....I have never in all my life experienced such coldness and disregard for a living breathing creature, I am so unstable right now and my wife and child are so depressed and cannot eat or sleep, i went to the town newspaper and they are running a story, i guess i wanna know Can I Sue this S.O.B?

As horrible as it is, I don't think you can sue the vet. Vets can refuse to help though it makes them jerks. He should have done something for your poor dog. I'm so sorry you had to go though this but a court would just say you should have found another vet. And since that vet didn't actively kill your dog there's not much you can sue over. What you can do is spread the word so no one uses this vet ever again. What a horrible horrible person. I'm so so sorry.

Now that the fence is final, they are asking can they water and use the yard that I took back because they neglected it. I dont know if its because the water bill was paid they pay 1/2 & I pay 1/2. just yesterday. the water spicket is in the part of the yard fenced off. Also they have been having the mans grown son right out of prison sneaky stay there and the womans daughter sleeping there at night, (the daughters boyfriend sleeps in the car parked around the corner. And it was understood that no more than 4 person limit and any overnighters I was to be advised, so I know the difference between a potential burglar or what ever. and that the person had business on the property. Now they pay $1,200 a month for a 2 bedrm, 1 bth, laundry hook up house un attached to another house, there are 2 houses on the property, mine in the back and the front hse. no garage and street parking. Its a cozy home built intended for single family unit. Stress is always a factor when you are a landlord/ owner. People just dont want to go with the program. what to do.?

Mans son out of prison ... Daughters boyfriend sleeping in car ... Get rid of them. I'm a landlord also and I would say that stress is the most important factor when you are renting beside your own house. Its just not worth the money if you loose you peace of mind when you are at home.
